Which G60 do you have? Check on the bottom of your laptop, it will look like "G60-xxxx".

Yeah post the specific model as HP has alot of G60 series. Also you may be limited by your integrated graphics/entry level GPU rather than CPU unless you have like a Celeron 900..

Well you have an AMD Socket S1G2, the upgrades are very limited and only have a few hundred MHz difference, no real upgrades. I would save up for a newer laptop.

Yea, I agree with Tsunade_Hime. At most you can upgrade to a Turion Ultra ZM 86/88. Personally, I wouldn't bother since your GPU is the Nvidia 8200M and thats not going to help in gaming nor can it be changed easily either since its an integrated GPU.

No, this is built in to your mainboard.

You could always sell you G60 for around $400 on eBay, and buy a refurbished Asus G50 or G51 for $500.

That would mean changing out the motherboard and everything, not worth it unless you want to spend possibly 300+ and might as well save up for a new laptop.

Also if you do decide to put in a Turion Ultra series processor your cooling system probably couldn't handle it, given HP already makes terrible cooling systems best to live with it until you can afford a new gaming laptop which can be had for like 650-700.

    Upgrade what on it?

You can go to 45nm Core 2 Quads for processor, a PCI-Express x16 (1.0) but you need a low profile one and your power supply is really limiting on what you can get. Also you should be able to go to 8 GB RAM.

Documentation says 300 watt but considering it's an OEM tin can get 2 free when you get a full tank of gas in China quality, probably 250 watt then counting 80% efficiency...not much upgrades, AND even if you get a discreet video card it will kill the PSU quicker.
