With all the talk about express card 3.0, I decided to buy one from Amazon to try one out and to save space--not to mention I wasn't using my express card slot anyway.

However, I was disappointed since I haven't been able to get it to work consistantly. Funny thing though, it will work with USB 2.0. But when I tried my 3.0 HD, it's not recognized. However, it does recognized the hub (card). For some reason driver won't install. Any suggestions?

PS I did get it to install once (after many tries), but once I shut down, it won't work again.

On my notebook, I (unfortunately) have to put the computer into standby and then plug in the card and then turn it back on to get my eSATA express card to work.

Well I wouldn't want to go through that every time I needed to use the device. However, just for good measure I tried it, and it didn't work. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with a few extra USB 2.0 ports then.

Alright ladies and germs. It appears to be working now.
Silly me didn't plug in the extra power cord. I don't know what I must have been thinking? Must have been because the USB 2.0 worked without it.
