Hey,
I bought a new Seagate external hard drive today to back up my music/documents/movies. Anyway, I can successfully cut and paste files between my hard drives. I let the process run its course and came back to find that whenever I try to access either "My Music" or my external HD I am promted within 10 seconds that an error has occured and all unsaved progress will be lost. What is the deal? I can "transfer" files in the first place but once I do I can touch them!![]()
I have no clue whats going on here- any ideas?

Could you give us some details regarding the hard drive (2.5", 3.5") and what sort of connection you're using?
Sounds like you might need to format that drive. -
Did you see anthing that says ;
"Delayed write failed ..Windows was unable to save all the data for the file .... The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."?
