I'd wait to update if I were you. Given Intel's history with buggy updates, I'd consider it dangerous to update without a few weeks of validation from those gutsy enough to risk their SSDs.

The other question is, do I need the update - I've got the "old new firmware" on my SSD anyway - I'm on Vista because I'm lazy (Win7 + Vaio = work) so I have nothing to gain at the moment I think... -
My speeds are pretty good right now, obviously TRIM is the real reason to upgrade, but I will be interested to see my results after I upgrade.
