Hmmmm anyone test it out? Big differences or just updates for the sake of updates?
-
Thanks Phil!
-
Installed it last night for the sake of updating to the latest driver; I don't really have any use for the RAID stuff on my notebook.

How well do Intel's drivers like to install over each other? Or do I need to do the uninstall old/install new procedure? -
This user said they experienced some sort of issue, but I personally have never had something like that happen to me with drivers alone. (and assuming they were using the exact same driver)
-
in my experience i don't update raid drivers unless i'm having performance issues. Any gain I might achieve is negated by possible huge problems.
-
Hopefully reduces the lagg my SSD feels when deleting stuff... Waiting for this for ages!
Thanks

P.S : epic fail drivers! They're causing lagg and caused my bootup to screw up completely! It took 2-3 times longer.. Back to old beta drivers! -
Does it show the temps for each drive yet?
-
I got it installed and nothing different i haven't noticed ..
just only name of raid changed to --->> Intel(R) Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller -

SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
Unlike the StationDrives .1048(?) drivers, I get a temperature reading on my HM660JJ in HWMonitor now. Performance-wise, I haven't noticed anything.

I just upgraded, and what do you know, my M6400 now boots in 35 seconds from its RAID0 array. My boot times fluctuate quite a bit, depending on all sorts of things (among other things, the state of the Cache in my Seagate Momentus XTs), but I haven't seen less than 38 seconds ever on this machine. Not a big difference, yes, but it's free, so it's good.
Mind you, this is on a machine that's loaded with software (roughly 95 processes right after startup, and 2.1GB used memory). Not bad at all for a system with mechanical drives. -
So how do we go about installing this?
-
-
nosing through the .cat and .inf files, this distro might not be 'fully enabled' for desktop chipsets so use with caution there.
-
from all the messages i have seen on various forums, this 10.x version has quite some improvement in terms of performance in RAID mode but nothing that is noticeable for standard non-RAID usage.

i dont know guys but i just detected my problem what happened this morning and i just find out what was problem
i installed this matrix and couple programs yesterday and i didn't know what sequence .. etc but this morning my laptop started behaving very weirdly and i bloody all day didn't know what was problem ..
and now i know that problem caused this program from this thread !!
so if anybody has ssd and has vaio aw series DO NOT INSTALL !! IT WIL BE FREEZING YOUR LAPTOP AND CRASHING -
it was causing me problems too.. looks like we're stuck with old beta drivers... Brb.. intel can't make proper drivers or what after 9 months.
