Trying to get going here and install a fresh copy of windows 7. In my bios I have the following options

    ATA
    AHCI
    Raid -on

It's an intel x-25, I want to make sure TRIM functions. This a 64 bit dell. My debate is between AHCI and Raid-on. I found a bunch of sources that say that Raid-on does enable AHCI but gives you more flexibility down the road.

    Choose "AHCI" for AHCI. Done.

Did it! I read more about IRRT, I don't have any raid plans so it didn't seem worth it's potential headache.

    Hope I don't regret this later! :)
