    Hi.
Please bear with me if this question has been asked before. But I need help to know if I can upgrade my graphics card. Here's the specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB
Intel PM965 Series Crestline Chipset 800MHz FSB + ICH8M (Santa Rosa)
    Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
    15.4" WXGA+(1440x900) LCD
    3GB DDR2 667MHz
    160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS with built-in 256MB VRAM (TurboCache up to 512MB w/ 1GB RAM and 1GB w/ 2GB RAM) & DX10 support # Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB

    Hopefully, this info is enough.
Now I looked at the MXM thread and also at the info for my graphics card and I could not find anything there. And I am still uncertain. Can someone please shed light?

I would bet that you can't. Try inquiring in the Asus or video card/gaming thread or get a mod to move this there...

in the asus motherboard ,graphics cards are already inbuilt.

if you want to put a new external graphics card in the computer.

purchase a new nvdia graphics card and plug it into the pci slot .

    start the computer

installed the graphics card driver and you can play high speed graphics
    and enjoy it.

You can see right here in this thread that the ASUS F3SV has an integrated graphics card.
    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3794

Sure the nVidia 8600 is a dedicated card, but that card is soldered directly to the motherboard. You can see it in the image Gautam posted. The gpu heatsink is the lower of the two. Their is no MXM slot and the graphics is not upgradeable.

You can upgrade your cpu, memory and harddrive, but NOT the graphics card.

randdy mentioned upgrading your graphics card. You can do this via a external graphics card, but they go for around $700 and I think the most you get out of them bandwidth wise is around the same as a 8600mGT, so honestly not worth it at all from any notebook buyers standpoint

Save up for that PS3 or new laptop
