Just picked up a Samsung f3 2tb and notice that I have a high count for Ultra DMA CRC Error.

I did a full format and run the Samsung EStool and it pass all test. I also ran a surface scan and EStool did not find any errors. I am just concern about this ultra dma crc error count. I purchased the drive from a local shop. Just wondering shoudl I do a exchange? Thanks

From a quick google on Ultra DMA CRC errors, it appears that this error usually arises from a bad cable or connection, as it has to do with data transmission to and from the drive. Apparently, the thing to do is to watch if the number increases at all, since fixing the problem won't reset the count. So what this means is that if the number is going up, you probably have a bad cable/connection with the drive right now so you should check the pins and connectors, and if the number is not going up, sometime in the past (is this a used drive? If not, then maybe it happened while they were testing it) it was connected poorly and had data transmission issues.
