    Hi,
Let me thank you all for your help in advance. I am a novice and this is my first time trying this. My hard drive died. I asked someone to have a look at it for me. I have no idea what he did, however the new hard drives I purchase he said there was a problem with it, it was not new but refurbish, it was only reading 8gb when it should be 1TB . I returned it and got a new one a (western digital 1TB )hard drive. And instal it in my laptop. on turning the laptop on it loaded to window 7. Windows 7 is not the original operating system. should this happen on a new drive.

What I would like to do is restore to the original factory operating system ( Windows 8). I have a recovery flash drive which I created when I had purchased the laptop. But I have no idea how to do this with Windows 7 already being there.

Any help would be appreciated. A link to a tutorial would be even better. Thanks.
