Hi, I'm connecting my Vaio laptop to a 1920x1080 LG E2360V monitor (my laptop is only 1366x768) and for some reason the wallpaper I've set only fills a portion of the extended desktop on the monitor, even though the picture is full HD resolution.

Can anyone tell me how I sort this, Google isn't being very helpful...?

    Thanks

Did you set the display to your laptop, your monitor or both (extended)? There's an option in Control Panel > Personalization > Desktop Background > Picture Position that you can change to Fill.

It's set to extended, and the wallpaper is also set to fill. But for whatever reason it only fills what I would assume to be the 1366x768 portion of the monitor.

It sounds like it might have either been resized incorrectly, or a third party solution like UltraMon might help more.

You could also set the monitor setting to "Show desktop only on 2" first and choose your wallpaper and then switch to "Extend these displays".

The laptop screen only shows the part which its screen resolution can handle (in this case, 1366 x 768), but I think it's better than the other way.
