Im buying a Seagate 160GB 7200RPM 2.5". I'm supposing that all notebook hard drives (2.5") are standard and will fit in any notebooks. Am I mistaken?

    I own a Clevo M570ru.

You have to get the right connection (SATA or PATA). Just a 2.5" hard drive won't be enough, you also have to get the correct type.

I'm pretty sure yours is a SATA connection (Serial ATA150). But look in ur computers specs and make sure.

You can look up the model number of your existing HDD in Device Manager then Google to check the detailed specs.

Also note that there are a few 2.5" HDDs which are 1/2" thick but the majority are 3/8" thick. Don't get one of the thicker HDDs unless you are sure there is space for it.
