Hey there folks, I found out about eGPU's in July an after much research decided to try it. Figured it would be a good Mid-stage before upgrading to a full gaming desktop. If it does not work at least the only money really wasted will be the $100 for that PE4H that I can sell to someone else.

So here is my Laptop details, right now in the middle of a OS upgrade from Vista HP to W7 HP. Also I have a Dual Boot with LInux Ubuntu (64 bit)

    My laptop hardware specs
    Brand Toshiba
    Model Satellite A500 -00L

    Processor T6500 Duo Core
    Processor Speed 2.10Ghz

Graphics Card Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

    Video Memory 1.7 GB
    Vertex Shader Support 4.0
    Pixel Shader Support 4.0
    Microsoft DirectX* Version 11.0

    Memory/RAM 4GB DDR2 SODIMM - Expandable to 8GB (2x 4GB memory chips)

    Hard Drive 275 GB
(Will be upgrading to a bigger drive, probably a WD Black 7200RPM 16mb cache, either 750 or 500GB)

    Device Ports - USB 2.0 - 3 ports
    Device Ports - Firewire 6 Pin - 1 port
Device Ports - HDMI 1 Port
Device Ports - Esata 1 Port
Device Ports - External Monitor Port
Device Ports - Parallel Port (LPT1)
Device Ports - Serial Port (COM1)
Device Ports - PC Card Slot & Card Bus Slot
    Network Cable Jack RJ-45

    Modem, Wireless

An I use a Samsung - 46 inch - LN-46B750 (240 hz, 2ms) TV as my monitor, connected via HDMI cable.

    My eGPU parts

Video Card - MSI GTX 560 Ti 2GB
Power Supply - Have yet to buy one, was going to get a 1200 Gold plus rated one so I could use it in the future in my gaming rig.
    eGPU adapter - PE4H EC2C

Any tips & advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I am not very informed on how it works, but many informed users there. You should be able to get help there. Good luck. I will be following, just because I always like to learn, and actually have some time to learn about this.
