Hey guys
So, as it may be apparent, I am currently using a DELL Lattitude E5420 which has an N 6205 Wifi card in it.
Its not a bad Wifi card per say as it serves its purpose, but I have been experiencing issues with Wifi dropping out quite a lot (which could be due to Windows 10 and MS still not issuing that fix for my platform - they apparently released a fix, but as you know it takes time for the fix to reach certain OS-es).
Its not a router issue as my mobile phone Wifi works fine when the laptop keeps disconnecting.
Anyway, I was wondering which laptop wifi cards (of the more modern type) would work in this laptop as I was looking to potentially upgrade to a better wifi module.

Try using this first:

Intel 62xx and 72xx family of network cards always suffered from those problems, try using that utility/program first, because it fixed my unstable connections when I used those cards.
If not, check if you have physical space and use an m.2 to PCIe half mini adapter and use the latest Intel AX200 card.saturnotaku likes this. -

M.2 to M-PCIE would better, but I've heard of some cases when it isn't working due to power demands.Starlight5 likes this. -

There is also ALFA AWPCIE-AX200 but it uses MHF4 antenna connectors and thus will require antenna adapters or antenna replacement. It is also both expensive and hard to buy.
Then, there is 3x3 AW-CB160H, also with MHF4 antenna connectors. Needs 3x3 or 4x4 router otherwise it won't perform any better than 7260 802.11ac cards, and even then it is a far cry from AX200 while being more expensive.
Newest compatible Wifi cards with DELL Lattitude E5420?
