ok i've searched the net and have yet to find anything to completely fix it yet. They all just say it could be various things. So should i just wipe my HDD and start over to fix this thing? or are there some secret ways for me to fix this. It's happened on 7 and it's happened on vista too. I tried the old Nvidia drivers and it's still there tried teh new. No difference at all :/ should i do some sorta stress test to see if it's teh GPU or should i just say wonderful and go mental.

The only "fix" I know of is trying a different driver. Have you tried the ones over at laptopvideo2go.com yet?

yes i've tried those first and foremost. i tried the one that came with my laptop aka the one from asus. Then i tried the one at Nvidia and also the ones at laptop video 2 go and also for some reason 7's being weird to me and since there's well only 1 driver out there and the laptop video 2 go drivers won't install for me in 7 7077 for some reason. I can't check that :/

Well, I hate to say it, but as I'm sure you know, Windows 7 is still in beta so expect issues. Did the earlier releases of 7 allow you to install lv2g drivers? Hopefully by the RC build they'll have the driver situation figured out pretty well.

Also, when do the crashes occur? During normal use? Playing games? It could be caused by your laptop overheating and your driver freaking out about it. Does your GPU downclock until you restart your computer?

Reinstall the driver, and use the most up to date version of it in order to avoid complications with your component..
