    Hi

I'm new on the forum and I'm sure this has been dealt with a million times before but thousands of google hits have not been able to hlep me at all!

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook with Vista and I want to connect it to my LCD TV via an HDMI cable. I'm getting Video really easily and it looks great BUT I get no audio. If I go to Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers, there is a 'Intel(R) High Definition Audio HDMI' v6.10.0.2067 option and it says its working, but under Sounds, playback devices I only have:

    - Speakers/Headphones - SigmaTel HD Audio CODEC
    - Digital Output Device (SPDIF Out) - SigmaTel HD Audio CODEC

All the other posts suggest that I select HDMI from playback options as a default setting and tweek the options therein, but obviously with it not in the list, I can't select it.

I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, restarting computer, updating drivers etc and still I'm getting no results. Is there a way to add the HDMI audio to the options in playback devices??

Any help people could give would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
