Thats fine. Maybe your dell has a large cooler. The point is Intel Core chips run COOLER and are still much faster even at lower clocks and becuase of this battery life is greater.

Turion x2 does NOTHING better than any Intel Core CPU.

This is the entire reason for this thread.

There is NO reason to buy a Turion x2 when even a similar/LOWER cost Pentium Dual Core does EVERYTHING better than a Turion x2.

You name it its done better with Intel Core chips

    1. Lower Temps = Intel
    2. Faster CPU= Intel
    3. Longer battery life = Intel
    4. Price = Intel (with its Pentium Dual Core)

It has been proven that your X2 is much hotter compared to your C2D in your laptops: I believe you.
However, generalizing this is dangerous, since you only compared 2 models.
I think you're trying to hard to convince everyone. Instead, you could suffice by saying that, in your opinion, the C2D is better/cooler/... than the X2. Everybody can draw his own conclusions then :)

The point is Turion X2 do NOTHING better than Intel Core CPUs.

And AGAIN this is the whole point of this thread. Tell me ONE thing a Turion X2 does better and please dont start with stupid 64bit garbage like people actually use 64bit OS....

Turion X2 tends to be cheaper.

And people DO tend to use 64bit though I'm not convinced X2 is more efficient at that :)

Actually TurionX2 has advantages when running bigger applications......
Turion X2 doesn't offer greater raw core speed ....but if u havent read deeply on internet...let me tell you in layman language ...

AMD Turion X2 is designed in such a way that it takes maximum advantage of both the processors.... AMD has better optimization of dual core...

Now intel is like microsoft (competitive advantage)... apparently it feels better because it has greater speed & lower temperature...
But it doesn't handle multithreaded applications well between two cores...

Due to this, all you get is good Raw speed but if you run big applications you ll notice difference in PERFORMANCE ...
Intel lacks here because they were in a hurry to release it fast to capture market share so all they did was give greater speed & better heat management.

    One more thing....

The graphics controller (nvidia geforce go6100/6150) is directly beneath the touchpad in my laptop so it feels hot..

But guys, if u use a notebook stand or notebook cooler you can resolve the temperature problem.

So in the end, apparently Intel C2D is better but at higher level i.e. for advanced usage.. AMD Turion 64 X2 utilizes the dual cores better giving better performance.

You guys need to stop feeding this troll. Obviously he's here just to start **** up and have nothing to back his facts up. He says how oblivious we are to the facts, yet when people prove him wrong all he does it laugh and say how unbelievable it is that we don' get his non existent point.

We all know he's wrong, he has no facts to back him up, so just leave it at that. He'll leave soon enough, but if we keep feeding the troll, he'll keep coming back and saying dumb stuff.

Troll indeed. He doesn't read arguments properly and just fanbois Intel repeatedly. I can't see any point leaving this thread open.
