    hey guys..

my laptops AC Adaptor got some problem and is overheating..and all HP support is closed for weekend..
    that issue aside

can i use an Adaptor of similar Voltage output with my laptop?

if battery is a concern..i can remove the battery and just use the Generic adaptor to power the laptop.

Will it cause any damage or fire etc?
