The battery in my system is not charging, it's running off the power from the mains, could this be the reason for my games like Minecraft not working. The FPS drops that i am getting is making the game not player able. I have a m11x alienware.

    Best Regards

Take the battery out and see if the same symptoms persist.

Is your power profile on High Performance?

Are your drivers up to date?

What are the spec's of your system?

    O/S, platform, cpu, RAM, HDD/SSD?

Have you cleaned out the vents/dust from the system lately?

Does your system overheat? Maybe you need a proper re-application of the TIM?

Are you getting the "AC adapter not recognized" error in BIOS?

Thanks, but the spec's are not complete (what platform/generation cpu are we talking about here).

I can still see that the system can possibly be cpu bound in games (is this an ULV cpu...) - does dropping the quality settings make a difference to how smooth the game plays?

Why don't we first take care of the issue that is an obvious problem (something not working as it was meant to) rather than something that could be simply symptoms of a slow system?
