    Hi.

I am planning on buying an external HD for my laptop, because 70 gigs is just not enough. My question is if I buy one, and transfer all my program files to it, as in I will have 3d max on my lappy HD and also on my external HD will I be able to launch 3d max via the external HD? On any computer?

    Thanks.

This is a diagram kinda of what I mean

    External Harddrive D>Program files>3d max>launch on my laptop/anyone elses.

    Thanks again.

depends, some programs install extra files in other places in the OS and some programs can be run like that easily. copy the folder and try it on another PC through a flash drive if u have one with the right size.
