I'm almost certain this question has been asked a million times but I can't find any clear solutions or answers.
I have an ASUS F3Ka which I upgraded to 4GB of memory. I am running on Vista 32-bit. I have heard that by using the 32-bit version of Vista I will never see all my RAM being used, however, it seemed that from what I read I should be seeing at least around 3.5GB of it but I'm only seeing 2.4GB.
Is there any solution to at least see more of my RAM?

nope. the number varies but thats the most u will get, get an 64bit os so all the ram can be used

Le sigh. Figures that after dumping over a grand into a new laptop, I have to shell out to Microsoft in the end.

yes, you are right , this question is beeing asked over and over....
a 32 bit os can only have 4GB of memory adresses ( this includes physical ram on graphics cards also)
just search through some threads here......

Wait a minute... you should be seeing at least 3 gb though even with a 32-bit os... not just 2.4 gb. I don't know what the problem might be. Is Windows reporting 2.4gb in use or 2.4gb total? Press Win-Pause... how much RAM does it say on that screen? Also, look in the BIOS and see how much memory it shows.

4GB - 512 MB DDRII ( ATI HD2600) - 1GB (Robson ) = ~2.4 GB
-
Edit: and btw, both BIOS and windows shows ~2.4GB -
hmm, that´s strange...
at least the bios should tell you it´s 4 GB. Something is wrong there, some kind of incompatibility. maybe a bios update ( if available) can correct this.
the robson module ( intel turbo memory )

Indeed... Asus is showing a BIOS update specifically to address this problem. Their website was experiencing too much traffic earlier for me to check this out.

Updated the BIOS... Vista is now showing 3GB of memory. Thanks for the help!

But on a 4GB in a 32bit OS would only yield a register of 3.0-3.5GB of ram.
Glad you updated your bios to get north of 3GB jook. -

I think 3GB is close to normal, looks like the BIOS update worked. The addressing issue is the only reason you should be under 4GB, I think the "Robson" will take space so you are looking OK. Does the BIOS report 4GB? I would like to see that, it would let me know I got what I paid for. Also in my system CPU-Z and SiSoft report the full amount. How does yours?

Not showing all RAM (sorry)
