I'm interested in getting a new notebook with lightscribe technology on its dvd burners.
But they almost never indicate if the dvd burner in the notebook has lightscribe or not. Does anyone know which brands have lightscribe in them and does it apply to all notebook models of the brand?
    How about dell notebooks?

Basically only HP/Compaq machines have LightScribe. It's an HP technology. And it only has it if it's said in the specs that it does.

As far as I know, it's just an HP thing unless you buy one to make external.

[EDIT] Yeah what Pitabred said. :)
