hello I have a HP 650 "http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14289_div/14289_div.pdf," do you think I can connect the VGA monitor 1920x1200?
I'm afraid that does not support non-standard resolution.
    thanks

This is a very recent model it seems?

It should support 1920x1200 easily through the VGA output.

Why do you think it is a non-standard resolution?

I thnk this why I tried to connect it to a HDMI monitor with 1366x760 resolution and I could not use it because my laptop only supported 1366x768, 1360x760 and 1920x1080. say that 1920x1200 on vga should go?

Don't base what you can do with HDMI with what VGA will/should do.

Make sure you switch over to the external monitor only, then try changing the resolution.
