    Hey guys~
    I just bought myself a Sager9750V

So far it's been good to me.
However, I would like to ask about one problem.

Won't the battery life be 'dead' soon if you over-charge it?
(As in, still charging eventhough the battery is full?)

In the past when I am still using a Toshiba, the battery is easily detachable within its slots, but for this Sager 9750V, its like the battery is SCREWED into the notebook itself~

Is it not meant to be taken out?
Or maybe its just that the 'dead notebook battery' rule doesn't apply to this particular notebook?

Anyone with experience, please help me?
Thank you very much in advance~

For all new batteries in laptop nowadays, when the battery is done charging, the connection to the A/C is automatically closed, so you don't have to worry that it'll recharge itself even when full.

I don't mean to change the topic of this thread, but isn't it better for newer batteries to be on the charger when possible? I know from my experience with handhelds, and seemingly from my laptop that seems to be true. I bought my iPAQ hx4700 when it was fresh (within a week of being on the market), and neither of my two batteries have dropped in live (noticeably) yet I use them extensivley every day, and others say that theirs have since died. I keep them plugged in whenever I can.

Also, my laptop batteries are about 1.5 years old and haven't decreased in life in the slighest, and again most people report a noticeable decrease by that time. I keep them plugged in when I can.

I know that I have heard that the connection is closed, but isn't just better for the battery to be constantly kept at full, or was I just fooled big time?

Dunno if you've been fulled, but I keep my laptops plugged in almost constantly. My 3-year old Compaq battery seems to still give the same battery life as always. Maybe slightly reduced, but I cannot even be sure of that.
