    Notebook case questions

    Does anyone know who the original manufacturer is and if there is a generic name for the case that is used for notebooks such as the Portable One EX notebook (pictured here). The dimensions are 13.15 inch (W) x 9.9 inch (D) x 1~1.4 inch (H) with at 14.1" screen, and it has a built-in camera just above the screen.

    Also, does anyone know some other brands that use this particular case and what model names or numbers these other laptops are called? I'm not sure, but I think (for instance) the MTECH Z62F is built on the same case.

    actually, the z62j is only available from portableone. no other reseller in the states has it in his hands.

    Hmm...I thought these were announced back in March. Asus is way too slow if they arent still available.

    they were announced way back when. apparently, they are waiting for resellers to get the old model that the z62j is replacing all sold until they decide to send them out.

    That does seem to be the case. RK Computers (which Miner linked to) has the Z62 F available, and under the Z62 J it says "Coming Soon, ETA 7/15."
