Ok I know theres is a sticky about this and I read it already and it is all useful info, but my laptop seems to have a problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 4100 that gets so hot when I'm on it that when I touch the bottom it actually burns, and I don't mean no little burn I mean like on fire. And I only use it when I tune my car and thats only a couple of minutes. I know this is not normal what do yall think might be wrong. Any help would be nice.

Call Dell and tell them you can fry eggs on your hood (and explain to the tech guy that you don't mean your car).

I was going to open my laptop and that's when I noticed I need a smaller screwdriver I think a #1 phillips screwdriver, so when I get some more money I will clean the insides. Thanks for the help

As said before, buying a cheap (~$5-~$10) can of compressed air, and blowing out the laptop completely should make a dramatic difference.
If you don't mind opening it up, it will makes things much easier, and you might even be able to pull a dust bunny or two out by hand.
I had the same problem on an OLD notebook I had, and a buddy of mine opened the case for me and it ran like new.

A cooling pad might help too after you clean out the insides--check out the Cooling Center thread for recs and advice.
