I have a couple HP 180w adapters that I wouldn't mind using with my w870cu. They are 19v DC out, same as the 120w adapter than came with the clevo, but the plug is much bigger at the notebook end. Does an adapter exist that could connect it to the smaller plug hole?

I've never seen one. What you could do, is buy an adapter with the end you need. Maybe buy a power adapter thats broken, but the end is still good. Cut off the end and splice it to the 180 watt.

You mean something like this. It's basically a barrel type connector with a female side on one end and a smaller male plug on the other. But I'm not sure the sizes will match for your situation.

Like Joker said, you can get one of these and accomplish what you want with some basic soldering skills. Just measure your existing plug to get the right size.

    The 8760 uses a 2.5mm x 5.5mm adapter plug.

Wow, I think this is EXACTLY what I need. I measured it, and got about 7mm on the outside and 4mm on the inner rim.

It says it's rated for 90w, but that's not going matter, right?

I think it will work fine, it's just a couple of barrel type plugs with a wire between them. I would actually cut the old plug and just solder a new one there. That would be more secure.

I need something exactly like this for a 2.5mm/5.5mm plug, any links?
