Other than Apple, which notebook that has built-in Firewire 800?
Does Express Card with Firewire 800 perform as good as built-in one?

The Express Card transfer rate boasts 2.5gb/s

So it should be able to support full rate of the FW800 adapter card.

    cheers ...

What is it your needing FireWire 800 for? If its for something like storage eSATA is faster and will continue to get faster as 800 is pretty much limited already.

If its equipment other then storage or you are stuck with storage that doesnt have eSATA but does FW800 then an express card as stated above is your best bet on the pc end of things.
