    Hi,
Out of the blue, this morning, my notebook wouldn't turn on. It's a 2 yr old Dell XPS and it was perfect until this morning.

I didn't post this on the Dell forum cause the problem is probably not specific.

What is happening is that I will press the power button, it turns on for a second, the other lights that usually blink, still blink, and then power button light turns off. I can't still hear a sound from the inside.

to debug I have tried different power adapter, also tried with and without the battery and still doesn't work.

Would you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks so much

my e1505 did that, turns out it was just an adapter gone bad. Discovered it when they sent out a QualXServ guy to replace the mobo and GPU, and he had brought along a new test charger just to be sure. Hopefully it's just a power board that's toast on yours.

Well it sounds like it's under warranty so eventually it'll get fixed by Dell. My experiences with Dell support have always been positive, so no worries man.
