Hey everyone I couldn't find a Notebook General section so I'm going to post my thread here...

I'll be owning a laptop soon whether it be the Asus C90S (I'm hoping) or a Sony Vaio C I need to know what are some of the first things I should do when I get my laptop besides write a review? I hope I get a C90 if I do, how can I, if possible, set my fingerprint as passwords for EVERYTHING?

As is customary for the internet age, take pictures of the unpacking process from arrival to naked glory. Bonus points for anything different; pets in pictures etc

Seriously though, perhaps read how to optimise your system.

But most importantly have fun! Of course, me being me read the manual thoroughly before playing :p Do create restore discs though

Bonus points for indirect references, as well as fruit(Banana = +50 points).

    :p

As for fingerprint sensor, it's more of a gimmick, I mean, sure protected stuff is nice, but how often will it be necessary, and a Windows login is usually enough :p

As LFC mentioned, do what you normally do, there is no need to do anything special unless its absolutely necessary.

Is there a way to use my fingerprint as my e-mail password and such?

You'll have to do some research on that, about the client, program, features, etc.
