    Hi all,
I am planning to buy an HP laptop.
The only graphics options available to customize are:

    G105M - 512MB
    Media Accelerator 4500MHD

    The price difference is $150.
    Is the G105M worth $150?

I dont play a lot of games but intend to add a blueray ROM, to connect to my LCD.

    Please help.

    it's basically a rebadged GeForce 9400M.

What kind of games do you play?

If you don't game, then absolutely don't buy it. All you will end up with is dealing with extra heat and lower battery life. The 4500MHD is more than capable of handling HD content.

Check out the HP forum and the myriad complaints about heat and fan noise associated with the 105M. There are many who have actually returned their laptops and re-ordered it with the 4500MHD after dealing with the heat and fan noise that accompanies the 105M.

then forget about G105 and get 4500MHD, it will handle old games fine and it has HD support too

I have a dv4t with a 105m and I have NEVER had any heat problems, even with heavy overclocking.
