    Nx860xl Heatsink

    I have a Gateway NX860XL laptop, which I would like to upgrade the video card. The OEM card was Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 256MB MXM III, and I have bought an Nvidia 9650m GT 1G MXM II video card. The problem I am running into is that the GPU Heatsink mounting position is not compatible with the new video card. Any ideas out there on how I can cool the new video card?

    You are mixing MXM types which is a no no. The spacing of the holes that secure the heatsink are different between the two cards. Read this:

    MXM technical before 3.0

    no wonder the problem.. u can't mix MXM cards.. u need a proper one..
