I OC'd my celeron using the pin mod and got it from 1.4Ghz to 1.86Ghz and ive been wacthing the temp to make sure its not too hot and I want to know if 131 F is an ok temp its weird cause it wasnt this hot like 2 days ago and now as I am writing the review the fan just turned off and i can place my hand on the fan output and its not warm or anything so there is no real hot temps on the outside I also have used thermal compound on the die to make it cooler so i'm a little worried and freaked as to why speed fan shows 131 F with a fire symbol insted of a green check mark like it used too...the fan turns off for like 2 mins and then turns back on pretty often so im thinking it should mean its pretty cool but speed fan doesnt show that?!

Those temperatures should be fine. 131F is well within a CPU's operating range. The Celeron M CPU will shut itself down at 125C, which is about 255F. (I just checked the Intel whitepapers for that CPU)

Really? I'd be pretty worried if I was in his situation but then again, I've never OC'd a processor, I have virtually no knowledge on this sorta subject.

Those temps look nice (~55 degrees c.). Just make sure you run a Prime95 Torture Test for at least an hour to check for stability. Are those idle or load temps?

I personally would download MobileMeter, that will give you real time temps that can update every second. But SpeedFan works OK too.

My Sempron reaches that temp under full load, and I don't feel any hot air comming out of the exhaust vent, only room temperature air. That would be normal, because the temps you are reading are actually on the die, and with the heatsink, even a couple of cm away, it will be a lot cooler.
