Hi,
I would like to OC the cpu of the system in my signature just a little bit to give fluent performance to a very specific piece of beta software. My idea is to raise the clocks up to 2.2 or even 2.3 GHz whenever I need to run the application in question in performance mode. Since it is only for testing purposes, I need the cpu to be stableand I don´t intend to keep the cpu OC'ed all the time.
What tools/utilities could I use for this purpose? And what would be the best (define it as you wish, for instance ="safest" or ="most stable") way to raise the clocks? What could I expect realistically?
Assume that cooling is not a problem![]()
Thanks in advance,
Marin
PS: I could post a CPU-Z screenshot if needed.

Don't believe any Lenovos support OCing of the CPU.

nando4: I would rather avoid hardcore hardware mods.
