Technically you're right, their supplier has them in stock. It comes down to the same thing: They're available now!

I wish. That's not the Core. The one they tested costs 758 euros for the 64GB. Link.

Sorry my mistake, TH tested the "old" OCZ SSD.

The OCZ SSDs are still not in Europe (physically), the expected date of delivery was 07/15/08.

I know today is 07/15 and no one unit has been landed in Europe. Anyway, you can order one drive by azerty or zercom, when you aren't in doubt.

If you're going to make claims like that at least show some evidence or links that support your claims.

Ofcourse I know I can order them there. Why do you think I started this thread?
I want to see benchmarks! I'm not blindly going to buy these drives.

What kind of "evidence" do you expect: affidavit, shipping documents or customs officer's testimony?

Anything that shows that your claims are real. I have no idea if your claims are trustworthy.

I do know one of those shops and know for a fact that they are trustworthy. So up to now, all the evidence seems to indicate that these drives are in Europe.

If you have proof that this is not the case please show it.

Ok we've got 4 sites now that say they are in stock and we've got Visioneer who says they aren't in stock.

Mine (128 GB) shipped yesterday from OCs.uk.
I will post the HD tune result asap. I'd love to ditch the hard drives I used
    last year :

Samsung 250 5400 - quiet but with clunk and vibration
Fujitsu 160GB 7200 - fast but very high vibration
WD 320 5400 - fastest and very very quiet but gets hot (50C)
Fujitsu 320 GB 5400 - more noisy than WD
Seagate 5400.4 250 GB - fast but not as fast as WD

(in my old sony vgn a series that is)

    cheers!

    Wow that would be great.

Hope you can also run PCMark Vantage so we can compare it to some of the big boys.

Yeah those are the SLC OCZ (Samsung's) SSDs in the reviews. The Core SSDs are MLC.

The question now is not whether I will buy one (64GB) but how fast can they get it to me :)

Ah, sorry--I saw "Core" referenced in the Techreport.com article, and thought it was about them. Someone else had referenced that article in relation to the Tom's Hardware one, so I assumed they were for the same product (which they are, it's just not the Core). I've updated my post to avoid messing up the thread any more than I have already, thanks!
