Seeing that an SSD with a reasonable amount of disk space costs an arm and a leg, I figured I might consider a decent alternative, namely a regular HDD coupled with an mSATA.

However, I was wondering which is better; OCZ Nocti 120 GB or Intel 310 80 GB?

Also, would I notice any performance increase if I pick a hybrid drive (Seagate Momentus XT) along with the mSATA?

OCZ is much faster, but it feature Sandforce controller which is a big gamble.

Intel 310 is slower but much more reliable since it have the controller you find in Intel X25-M G2 SSDs.

OK, think I might opt for the 310 for its reliability, then.

And should I go with a hybrid drive, or is that made redundant by the mSATA?
