Does anyone has experience with ocz deneva 2 ssd ?

Most concern is it reliability that is why i am looking at enterprise series
Also i found this guy on craigslist selling 240gb for $375, is it consider a good price ?
How can i tell if i get the real deal if i buy from him ?

i am more interested to know, where can you buy these supposed to be 'enterprise' line.
-
Who knows? Maybe some company went out of business recently and the guy picked them up in a liquidation sale?
-

i am waiting for my laptop to come so time to shop for ssd and ram. -
My line of reaoning. I don't mind enterprise stuff on craigslist as peon mentioned it can be bankrupcy sales or clean out old things.
But if I cannot find any legit source of selling it, nor any review in any forums of actual user experiences, my guess is this may be straight from OCZ but no 'enterprise' actually bought it, i.e. junk from OCZ.
Knowing OCZ, the reliability becomes a bit question mark. -

I can see OCZ trying to sell off the few (demo?) Deneva 2 SSD's they manufactured on craigslist... just to be rid of them?
'Junk from OCZ' sounds about right - even if it is 100% legit.
If you wait a few months, even this should show up there too:
See:
AnandTech - OCZ Z-Drive R4 CM88 (1.6TB PCIe SSD) Review
Because no serious 'enterprise' user would recommend/purchase/use this in an actual business critical server. No matter what performance increases are promised. No matter what cost savings are inferred. Not as long as OCZ + SF reliability = squat. -
There is a usage that I think SF based SSD is good at, fast scratch disk.
-

Even there I would disagree - with DuraClass implemented to throttle writes, eventually.
-
as a scratch disk, just SE it regularly but that means a desktop setup as easy hotplugging is a must
-

SE does not reset DuraWrite throttling.

Hmmm, I'm sure the one in this thread (I linked) is V2, and it kept writing at an astounding rate of 6MB/s.
Maybe the other user you were having the discussion with wasn't writing as hard as I was/am? -
I have no first hand experience on that(only had the Vertex 2 for 2 days), just passing along information I know. So I cannot assert it one way or the other.
However, SE as far as I know would basically reset every counter(equivalent a total wipeout of everything). But as I said, I have no actual case to prove it one way or the other.
Anyone want to confirm it has to read the forum on your link and OCZ to decide for themselves. I would not touch SF anyway and not interested in detail. -
Wait a second.
Sandforce + enterprise?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha-------oh my that's a good one!
Sorry, but no serious admin would use one of those Sandforce bricks for anything but target practice (pick your weapon). -
