Are there any laptops or desktops from the major brands shipping with OCZ SSDs? I've been looking around and most (Lenovo, Dell, Apple, Toshiba) appear to be shipping with either the Samsung or Toshiba drives.

    thanks

The new ZenBooks will be shipping with SF based drives (at least one model/capacity point will - the 128GB ADATA branded one), but I don't know of any shipping with specific OCZ drives.

Why are you looking for this specifically?

Do you want to give customer support a run for their money? ;)

Samsung and Toshiba supply very stable drives that work on a wide variety of systems without issues.

The laptop/desktop makers are pretty much all NOT using Sandforce, and for good reason. Sandforce has a poor record for reliability right now, whereas Samsung, Toshiba and others are very reliable.

I read the new ones were going to be feature the indilinx technology that OCZ acquired that is supposedly more stable than what has previously been used so I was curious whether or not you'd actually be able to get a laptop with one of the new drives or if it'd remain an after market upgrade.

Where did you read that? Wouldn't that article have mentioned which manufacturers would be on board with such a suicide plan?

    Uhm, I mean, new partnership? :p :D

Pick up an OCZ SSD now and you'll soon be reading the threads on what to do when your SSD craps out on you.

There's a reason OCZ are unpopular and their Customer Dis-service is well known...

^^ It's called 'bleeding edge' for a reason...be sure and buy some band aids & bandages along with the 'new & improved' OCZ...
