I'm still hunting for 2GB upgrade for my HP DV9207US.
What is the difference between RAM from Kingston KTH-ZD8000B/1G and KVR533D2S41G for my laptop?
    Similarly Crucial CT666822 and CT12864AC667?
I cant afford cost of HP ram :(

    What really makes sense?
    Please shed some light.

There's no difference. Get whichever one is cheaper.

I agree. Don't waste your money on OEM stuff. There's a thread somewhere on NBR where you can get the best deals on RAM. :)

The diffrence is marginal, infact you may get higher quality stuff if you go OEM.

All of the brands in the HOT RAM Deals thread are good.

I personally filter out the questionable ones.

Pretty much the brand is not as important as the memory chips.

But the lifetime warranty is the main thing that one should always look for in RAM... which all of the ones I have in the thread includes. :)

Yep the IC's and the warrenty are all that matter.

Seems like everything is Micron of the late, so no worries there.
