I'm shopping for the new intel ssd 320 series and I keep running into two different versions of the product. Some are OEM and others retail. They have two different Serial #s. It seems to me that the OEM is slightly cheaper in price.
Anyone know what the difference is?
Also if anyone is interested in purchasing the 120gb ssd 320 here's a deal that puts the price below the SR price based on Anandtech's review.

In regards to your link...It gives me only the older x-25 not the 320... -
OEM is without box, manuals, instructions etc while RETAIL have everything
-
And the warranty should be the same right?
Slotti, the link is for the new ssd 320. I don't know why it has the X25 on the title but the Serial# matches and the title also says G3. -
Warranty is the same.
Wow, yes, the serial number is the correct one. So with the 10 off that makes it pretty much even to Newegg with 25 off, BUT newegg is sold out.
Wow, no I really have to think what I am doing. I was plannign on holding off and getting a Vertex 3...... -
Thanks for the info guys! Just ordered it.
Don't really care for the retail packaging or the documentation..... it all usually ends up cluttering some space in my office anyways. -
Sometimes retail includes 3.5" to 2.5" adapter bracket and other extra cables (like 4-pin power to SATA power), etc. Otherwise OEM, or better, bare drive, for laptop is usually fine since you don't need any of that. Just check the specs for the warranty.
