I have a Precision M4300 as seen in my sig. It has a TrueLife 1680x1050 high res screen (glossy). However...my eyesight is getting poor (and as you can see in my sig I use quad monitors, so one high res monitor isnt that beneficial to me).
Does ANYONE have a matte screen 1280x800 WXGA screen that would be willing to trade with me? I'm a computer expert and can take apart anything without a hitch. If you'd like a higher res glossy screen, I would love to trade with a matte lower res screen. Of course you can come over and see my screen first to see if you like it (I believe it is 20 nits brighter than the matte screen at 200 nits). Swappable screens include the D820, D830, M65 and M4300. I ONLY want the low resolution screen and in MATTE, not gloss. Figured this would be a shot in the dark but worth a shot. Thanks all.

I have a 1280x800 15.4 inch LCD out of a toshiba p15 it has a matte finish. You would need to change the inverter cable i bet with your 1680x1050 to fit in the dell inverter but other then that it should be fine.

LCD scaling is never pretty; everything gets pixelated. It's most obvious when it comes to text.
