OLED technology is really cool. Hopefully one day, the lcd manufacturers can make lcd's upgradeable. Like a user changeable film (aka, matte, gloosy, TFT), a swappable backlight, so we can choose between CCFL and LED backlighting. It would be really awesome. I would love to upgrade to a LED based screen for the better contrast, but it was not an option with any of my laptops.
Its a cool technology, and will be implemented more in the future. Once Dell and the other big computer manufacturers implement the technology, usually the technology will spread since their will be a greater spectrum of demand.

It really is a unique option.
I think some of the major upgrades are:
1. So thin it could be applied to clothing- We are talking about as thin as a thick graphic or logo pressed on.
2. Response time: Avg response time of a LCD- 4-8ms : Vs OLED - .01ms
That is amazing. -

Before OLED screens, can we get LED screens to be standard on all laptops please?
