Samsung has 8 GB modules sold only to OEMs (HP, Dell, Lenovo) AFAIK.

Since OWC does nothing more than make and build the PCB not the DRAM itself. Only like 4 or 5 actually make the DRAM. Samsung is the worlds largest DRAM MFG in the world. What can I say. Not impressed and not surprised Samsung has them. Kingston does not make DRAM. Neither does GSkill and so many other name brands we throw around.

I do hope someone does test to save me the trouble.

$1600 for 16GB? That's quite steep... For that price you can buy a 512GB SSD....

Sheesh. I can't imagine using 32GB. Actually I can, but I'd really have to try.

Samsung's been making and selling them to OEMs for over half a year now. We have this old thread about it. There are a couple of posts starting around #67 with links to other sellers, although I repeat my assertions in that thread that I have no idea about the quality of said sellers.
