The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    What on earth is happening?!

No wonder my customers are so insanely loyal and extremely careful with how they talk to me even tho it's extremely annoying.

Honestly, this video shocked me. And made me realize how lucky I was to have found NBR and HIDevolution. Even I, as a budding enthusiast, would have been able to better handle these calls than half of those reps.

With Dell and HP, that's not terribly surprising given where your sales calls get routed. Nor was I expecting terribly much from Cyberpower or iBuypower because of the highly mixed reviews they've gotten over the years. However, the former was laughably bad. Origin was certainly better than these but they still weren't quite up to the standard of what I would expect from a boutique builder. Makes me wonder if this is going to change Linus' relationship with Origin at all because they've been a regular sponsor on his channel recently. Maingear was a surprise because my experience with them wasn't all that great. Granted, it was almost a decade ago, but good for them.

All of this goes to reinforce the fact that I'm glad I stuck with HIDevolution and will probably continue to do so even though I'm in a position now where a desktop would suit me better.

I thought that is was hilarious that they charged $1500 for a 120GB SSD and 1050 ti.
You can get a better specced laptop for that price

The laptop in my signature cost a couple hundred dollars less, including $130 worth of pixel warranty/thermal upgrades, and has better specs!
