I recently installed the latest Omega drivers for my Mobility Radeon 9700, and although i'm getting a far better performance from it, I was wondering if anyone knows of any risks.
I haven't clocked the core or memory as I'm afraid I'll fry the chip, but is it okay for me to just have the Omega drivers installed and on defaul values?
I love my laptop and I don't particularly want it burning out before I get to University.
There doesn't seem to be any excess heat being produced, I was just a bit freaked about the possibilty of my laptop being destroyed.
Any info would be appreciated.

I have been running the omega drivers on my mobility Radeon 9600 with no problem whatsoever. Many others run the omegas with no prob either. Default values will not do any harm to the card. But you can/should tweak the graphics settings, not necessarily the overclock settings, but the other settings are fine to play with. THen you can get it working better for your system.
