    On what port I need to connect an external SSD ?

    This external SSD will be used for booting up the laptop, the internal HD will be used for saving files.

    I am looking for a low consuming SSS of around 16 gig , any suggestions ?

    Why don't you swap the SSD and put the HDD in the external enclosure? Unless you have eSATA, you will lose a lot of the benefits by having the SSD in an external enclosure.

    Best to have an e-sata port for external sata SSD.
    If didn't get one with system, there's hide-type versions for both expressport and cardbus systems.

    Would advise considering an optical bay caddy to do a SSD+HDD setup, hotswapping in your optical drive on demand (see sig).
