    Only reconigizing 3.25gb of RAM

    I have a Dell D620 Latitude with 64-bit Windows 7. However, it will only recognize 3.25 of the 4.0 gb of RAM. I have checked the BIOS settings and it it says that 4.0 is installed, but only 3.25 is usable. What's the reason for this?

    The only thing that makes sense in that article is other hardware may be using the RAM. Beyond the graphics card, I don't know what else could be using it.

    normally, it's this one since the memory remapping option is often left out in OEM BIOS's

    yes this is the issue. Can't do anything.. Obsolete hardware always has this problem of having limitation which are more severe than on modern hardware.
