This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Optical Drive reading dvds but not CDs.

    Any reason why?

    It was reading CDs fine until I tried to burn a CD yesterday.

    i thought the whole thing was broken.. But it recognizes DVD diskcs fine.. Just not one CD i put in there.

    Any ideas? :[

    I had a similar problem on my old inspiron, luckily it was still under warranty and I just had them send out a replacement......the list of possibly issues is endless really
