For some reason, my screen bezel has cracked on a diagonal near the upper right hand screw point. I took a look around online and it looks like a replacement bezel is $15.00, not bad. :D

The thing is, the Dell service manual ( http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd630/en/SM_EN/display.htm#wp1105384 ) says that I have to remove the entire display assembly, something that I don't feel comfortable doing for obvious reasons. :p My question is, by looking at the instructions linked above, do any of you think that I could get away with just opening the screen the whole way back, unscrewing the old bezel, and then popping it off?

    Thanks a bunch, :)

It's definitely possible; I've done it before - it's just a tad bit harder when you don't have a solid surface on which to rest the screen.

    Excellent, Thanks a lot :)

I'm glad to hear that it's that easy. I'll have to give it a shot. :D
