Alright, so basically I have decided to take an original Intel Core Duo CPU overclocking endeavor.

Now, here is a table comparing all the original Core Duo CPU's:

As you can see the only thing different between the CPU's is the Multiplier. So basically if we can find a way to change the multiplier we should be able to overclock these CPU's. However, the multipliers are locked, so we must fine a way to unlock them.

If we can do that then we could in theory overclock the T2300, T2400, and T2500 to T2600 speeds with little to no increase in heat since basically they are all the same CPU's with a different multiplier.

So now, anyone have any ideas as to how we can go about doing this?

Your theory is correct, however, if you dont have acces to Intels lab in Israel or similar, its totaly and utterly impossible. Think they are hardware locked, its possible they are software locked to, but it doesnt change much since its done in special machines, nothing us mortals can do.

People always tries to unlock CPUs but it hasent been able for several generations (last on was barton i think), kinda stupid to buy expensiver models when a cheeper is just as good ey :p ?

btw in terms of generated heat equal overclock with ether fsb or multipler is almost the same.
