So, before someone says something about posting this in this forum, I'm here because my Cpu is Oc'd and Undervolted, may have relevance to the issue. So, I changed my ram from 2x512 PC4200 to 2x1gb PC5300 about a week ago, not realizing I'm capped at 533mhz anyway by my mobo. Although It was from my gateway, which now has PC6400 ram. Anyway, It ran fine, and everything was great, never have tested my comptuer after installing memory, didn't think of it. So, I pin-modded a 745 the next day, and then undervolted it and tested it the next few days, but noticed right away that Orthos wouldn't run the cpu+ram test, and it failed in like 6 seconds. I just put the old ones in, and they fail in like 24 seconds, but the first one is the same error every time, the second is not consistent. First one says rounding was 4.9******* expected less than .4, the second says random numbers between 6.***** and 8.***** I can't find the stress.txt file either to tell me about it. Help would be great! Thanks!

Yep, your voltage is too low, try to raise the voltage a little.

Ok, but it works fine on the cpu only test? So, I'm going to go ahead and try to raise the voltage to the processor and test it, thanks!

    Oh snap, your right....
Unfortuanately, what you unknowingly just told me is that I can't acctually undervolt my cpu AT ALL on the 18x multiplier. Also, It looks like i have to retest the whole spectrum again, since I did it with the cpu only test. I feel pretty stupid. Thanks guys. Basically it looks like to run the 745 M pinmodded, I have to always have it underclocked to 2.26 anyway, just to keep it rock solid stable. Sweet irony. I have a 735, and I should have just put that in instead, it seems. oh well. any ideas on how to get the 745 to work a 2.4ghz? I can't get it to pass the test at 1.34 volts.

Undervolting and overclocking dont mix well.

The only saving grace I have for myself is this, A [email protected] GHz OC'd, undervolted, and underclocked to 2.26 vice 2.4ghz can run a lower voltage at 2.26 than a 735, so this makes me an unknowing genius! maybe not. Either way, I can keep it functional with RMclock at 2.26ghz, no worries. Thanks for the help fellas.

That sounds really good, I am glad your cpu is running good and strong after your pinmod.

If you want to go back to 2.4Ghz, you will have to do a voltage mod, to increase the power going to your processor. It involves another wire jammed into the socket.

Just watch your temps, and dont let them get out of hand. If its going over 80C, it is time to put it back down to stock speeds, cause high temps can fry the entire system on you, and we dont want that.

I am not sure if core temp works on Pentium M's but it is worth a shot. hardware monitor and everest are other options.
